Cultures and Practices of Violence” will gather together established scholars and young researchers to discuss the mutual interplay between violent practices and political cultures since the unification of Italy. From brigandage in Southern Italy to terrorism in the 1970s and 1980s\, the participants will analyse the ways through which violent actions reinforce and influence certain ways of thinking and\, in turn\, how political cultures make such practices conceivable and even conceivable. \n\n
